Easy 4th of July Felt Wreath
Supplies:
How to make your 4th of July Wreath
- Wrap your foam wreath with fabric: Honestly this can be an optional step, but I like my wreaths to be more finished so I will cover the foam wreath with strips of fabric first that way it looks a little more finished (see image below)
- Cut out the felt: You can make felt circles or squares. For this project I wanted to try squares. I have done circles in the past and so I wanted to see if the squares made it look any different. Make sure you have some good fabric scissors. I was happy with the result and the squares were easier to cut because you didn’t have to trace circles you could just cut strips and then cut them down into squares.
- Pin the felt to the foam wreath: Once you have prepared your wreath and cut the felt you can now adhere them to the foam using fabric pins. Fold the felt in half and then fold it in half a second time. Pierce the pin through the corner and into the foam wreath. I did a section of blue and then alternated sections of white and red to mimic the American flag.
- Hang it on your door: Using a wreath hanger you can hang it on your front door or on any door in the house. I love hanging wreaths indoors.
