Create your Monogram canvas wall art
1. Prepare the fabric
First iron out the kinks from your fabric and cut about 38 in X 32 in.
Note: Pay attention to the orientation of your fabric.
My big mistake is I oriented my fabric the wrong way and now I get to see my mistake every time I look at it. It still looks good, but when you are a perfectionist it will make you cringe every once and a while.
2. Attach the fabric to the canvas
Lay the fabric with print side down and place the canvas on top of it. Fold over the excess fabric on each side and use a staple gun to adhere the fabric to the wood of the canvas frame.
3. Prepare your letter
Choose a color and start painting your letter. Let it dry before moving on to the next step.
Use wood glue or fabric glue to attach the letter to the fabric and canvas.
4. Attach the wooden frame
I recommend putting a layer of adhesive on the backing of the wooden frame and position it on the fabric. Let it dry and then turn over. I wanted to reinforce the frame using staples due to the weight of the wooden frame.
5. Enjoy your personalized canvas wall art
Now go hang up your finished project on that blank wall and step back and enjoy!
