Creating custom colors by mixing clay is a fantastic way to tailor your artistic projects to your exact preferences. In this post, we’ll explore how to mix your own Dark Byzantium color, a deep and rich purple with understated elegance. Perfect for artists looking to infuse their creations with a unique and sophisticated hue, follow along as we guide you through the steps to achieve this captivating color in your clay work.

Supplies
Polymer Clay
Polymer clay comes in a variety of colors. To mix the color Dark Byzantium you will need the colors Pomegranate Red and Cobalt Blue the Sculpey Premo brand.
Condition the Clay
To condition the clay you will need an acrylic roller or my preferred method is using a pasta machine for clay.
A pasta roller makes it easy to condition your polymer clay. It also helps achieve a consistent thickness of your clay when creating earrings.
