Mixing your own clay is a fantastic method for achieving unique, custom colors. In this post, we’re going to focus on how to create a desert taupe shade. This warm, earthy color is versatile and perfect for projects that require a touch of subtle elegance. Follow along as we guide you through the steps to mix this beautiful color.

Supplies
Polymer Clay
Polymer clay comes in a variety of colors. To mix the color desert taupe you will need the colors Canary Yellow, Cornflower Blue and Cherry Pie Red in the Sculpey Souffle brand.
Condition the Clay
To condition the clay you will need an acrylic roller or my preferred method is using a pasta machine for clay.
A pasta roller makes it easy to condition your polymer clay. It also helps achieve a consistent thickness of your clay when creating earrings.
