Zebra is definitely a popular brand when it comes to pens and hand lettering supplies. They offer a number of products including the Zebra Zensations/Fude Sign brush pen, Zebra Mildliner Brush pens, Zebra Metallic Brush pens and the Zebra Funwari Brush pens.

3 Sizes: The Zebra Fude Sign brush pen comes in 3 different sizes including super fine, fine and medium.
Dual brush: You can get each size on its own or there is a dual brush that features a fine tip on one end and a medium tip on the other.
Water Resistant: The pen uses permanent pigment Ink that is water resistant. If you love doing watercolor backgrounds and want a good black pen to write over the watercolor ink and not have them bleed together then the Zebra Zensations brush pen is a good option.
1 Color Option: The Zebra Fude Sign brush pen only comes in black. If you are looking for more color options try out Zebra Funwari brush pens which is a super fine brush pen that has 8 different color options.

Is the Zebra Fude Sign brush pen good for beginners?
Yes, the Zebra Fude Sign Brush pen is a great brush pen for beginners. I always recommend anyone who is new to brush lettering that they start with a smaller sized brush pen. A small brush pen is easier to control than a large brush pen which will make learning your basic strokes and alphabet easier. The Zebra Fude Sign pen is not too soft, but still gives a good dynamic between thin upstrokes and thick downstrokes.
Here is an example of the basic strokes and the alphabet using the Zebra Fude Sign pen – super fine, fine and medium brush pens.
What is the best paper to use with my brush pens?
To extend the life of your brush pens it is important that you use them with the right paper. Normal copy printer paper is too rough for a brush pen and can lead to fraying of the brush tip or nib. You want to make sure you are using smooth paper. The HP Premium 32 paper is a good option for everyday use when practicing your brush lettering. Consider Bristol paper for more end products because it is thicker and more heavy duty.
This smooth thick paper is great for your brush pens and hand lettering projects.
Where can you buy the Zebra Fude Sign pen?
You can easily find the Zebra Fude Sign pen on Amazon. Remember it has a couple of different names so the Zebra Fude Sign brush pen is the same as the Zebra Zensations brush pen. On Jetpens you will see it referred to as the Zebra Disposable brush pen.

Zebra Funwari Brush Pen
Zebra also makes the Funwari brush pen which has a super fine brush tip and comes in 8 different colors. The main difference between the Funwari brush pen and the Zebra Fude Sign pen is the ink type. The Funwari is water based ink that can be used for watercolor technique whereas the Zebra Fude Sign brush pen is more water resistant and is designed to not bleed or blend with water. Zebra Metallic Brush Pen
The Zebra Metallic brush pen is a large brush pen that comes in 7 different metallic colors. It works on both dark and white paper. I love how rich the pigment ink is with the metallic colors.
