Add some color into your room with a faux flower arrangement. Bring the joy of flowers in your home without having the hassle of watering them or watching the flowers die. This blue artificial flower arrangement offers a nice addition to my kitchen table.
Supplies:
- Faux flowers and petals
- Container
- Floral Wooden Picks
- Foam block
- Wire cutters
Step 1: Cutting the flowers
First off you want to use your wire cutters to cut apart the leaves and the flowers. Consider using these cutters.
By cutting the leaves and flowers into individual pieces it makes it easier to create shape with your floral arrangement.
Step 2: Attach the wooden pick to each flower
Generally the stems of the flowers won’t be very long after you cut it apart into individual pieces. Wrap the wire around the end of the flower or leaf.
Step 3: Cut the foam to fit your container.
I just used a regular knife from my kitchen to cut into the foam. I was surprised it wasn’t as messy to cut through this foam as I thought it would be. It was a nice clean cut.
Step 4: Arrange the leaves first
Create a base first using the leaves. The wooden pick slides easy into the foam. I like to make it symmetrical from side to side.
Step 5: Add the flowers
Next, insert the flowers into the foam base. Make sure you don’t leave any noticeable gaps.
Now step back and enjoy your finished project.
Love this! Going to make this when the stores re-open. I am going to use an ivory color rather than the blue. Beautiful! Thank you!!
